The Los Angeles Pottery Show (LAPS) is the largest antique, vintage and contemporary art pottery and tile event on the West Coast. Founded in 1999, the show's mission is to foster an interest in the appreciation for and collecting of Art Pottery. LAPS strives to embrace the constant and ever-changing collector market to adapt to current collecting trends. Open Saturday, March 9th: 10 am -5 pm, Sunday, March 10th: 10 am-4 pm.
BOWL-A-THON to Benefit Empty Bowls

Come and Join the Fun! Catch up with old friends and make some new ones. Come for a few hours or the entire day.
GOAL: Throw and create as many bowls as possible in a 6-hour period. NOTE: Please allow time to complete items before leaving by either trimming the foot or wiggle wiring off the bat.
Please bring your own tools, bats, drinks and a side dish or dessert for our potluck lunch.
Air conditioned studio, wheels and clay provided by Mission Hills Pottery. Coffee, breakfast, snacks, sandwich fixings (meat and veggie) provided by Nevada Clay Guild.
Mission Hills also has a slab roller and molds in the Studio waiting for handbuilders.
Teachers feel free to bring your students to contribute to this community event.

Summerlin Festival of Arts is an outdoor art festival that features music, food and entertainment. Selected Guild members will be exhibiting their artwork. Be sure to check them out!
Summerlin Festival of Arts is celebrating its 23rd year in 2018 and its fourth year located on a grassy park-like area in beautiful Downtown Summerlin. This popular event features the works of more than 100 artists and craftspeople. An established outdoor art festival that also offers music, food and entertainment, the celebration’s focus is to support fine artists and artisans. The event draws an estimated 42,000 visitors with thousands of serious art buyers each day – all ages, including families from the Las Vegas area and out-of-towners. Parking for both artists and patrons is convenient to the site. The art festival hours are 10:00 am until 5:00 pm Saturday and Sunday. The event is free and open to the public.
A Celebration of Clay in All Its Forms
For 2018, National Clay Week is exploring clay in all its forms through the lens of industry. NCW topics highlighted are within industrial ceramics. It will feature both small-batch makers who are producing large-scale and some of the largest manufacturers of ceramic products in the US. It will showcase production and use of these objects and the tools and makers who create them. The Boulder City Art Guild hosts a Winter Art Fest. This year the show will be on October 6-7th from 9 am to 5 pm. This is the largest outdoor juried art festival in the Southwest. Art in the Park is a fundraiser for the Boulder City Hospital Foundation, featuring music, art demonstrations, kids' activities and raffle giveaways.
